With a growing desire to create present and inspiring rock music together again, the original members Jimmy Jørgensen, Henrik Botoft, Michael Ziegler, Freddie Wolf and Knut E. Haavik have really breathed new life into Hotel Hunger. The band, which for a period was called 'Denmark's best live band', will release a new album in September this year. Hotel Hunger's 10th album is unleashed soon 20 years after their last studio album was released. The album is entitled "Slut". The title, which in English means something like "cheap bitch", refers to being in an industry where you depend on others to bring you a job. It could be the musician waiting for a gig, the freelancer waiting for the phone to ring with assignments or the prostitute waiting to be picked up. The energy and enthusiasm from when the band was formed is back, and Hotel Hunger anno 2023 consists of the original line-up that released the debut "This Is Where The Fun Starts" back in 1989, as well as Knut E. Haavik, who became a part of the band on the album "Frankie My Dear, I don't Give A Damn" in 1994. The new songs have been written by pure desire, and it is clear that it is a musically thirst and curiosity that drive the work. "Slut" offers 10 tracks that unmistakably sound like Hotel Hunger, but which are certainly not poor copies of old material. With experiences and inspirations from various individual projects over the past two decades, all members have brought new inputs to the studio. It's easy to hear.. In September 2023, the band goes on an extensive tour around all of Denmark.
